Regrettably I have suspended my participation in the SETI@ home project. Apparently they have been sending out the same data to everyone over and over again, and didn't bother to tell anyone. I understand that they are having some sort of problem with the infrastructure, and maybe they didn't want people to loose interest, but hoping that the word would somehow not get out seem like some sort of pointy haired bosses decision that insults the intelligence of the participants. Moreover the nonstop running of my computer has caused my cheap power supply fan to rattle annoyingly, I'll have to replace it soon. I do plan to resume participation soon, but this move has certainly dampened my enthusiasm.

Someone recently mentioned how it was nearly June and I still had Christmas graphics on my page. (I was kinna hoping no one would notice until November.)

I have decided to scrap my cutesy hand coded pages which take about 2 hours a pieces to code and find with find nice clip art for. In the interest of keeping my site more current without giving up all my free time I have give in to using a wussywyg editor with tastefully understated (bland) themes that all seem to be in the trite inverted el like the one are looking at now.

Well, I suppose life will go on.

In other news, I am really gonna try to get some content on here starting with a nifty little javascript page I wrote that makes buzzword bingo cards, which make those oh so boring meeting just a touch more fun.

Finally, SETI has released a nifty new screen saver that, once installed, lets you help look of ETI. I just had to hype it, I'm so excited. After 12 days of operation, their project has already utilized 3300cpu-years of donated processing power, but the more the better.
